One more for the road - 31st Jul 2015

The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) is a not-for-profit non-government-organisation providing research and education for arborists and promoting a greater worldwide awareness of the benefits of trees.

Mark Roberts has been on the Board of the ISA for almost thirteen years, initially as the New Zealand representative then on the Executive Committee and finally as President. ‘Thirteen years is more than anyone should or can remain on the Board under the new governance model’ Mr. Roberts said, ‘it’s been a long road but a good one to be on’.

The ISA is a volunteer lead organisation based out of the USA with about 40 full time paid staff and an annual operating budget of about USD$15 million. It has approximately 25,000 members and 30,000 credential holders spread across in 32 countries talking at least nine different languages – it is the International Society of Arboriculture.

Mr. Roberts will be flying to Orlando, Florida to the attend ISA’s Annual Conference and Trade Show August 9 – 12, 2015. At the end of the conference Mr. Roberts will end his term on the Board of Directors, passing over the role to de Gouret Litchfield of Sweden.
