National Certificate in Horticulture (Arboriculture) (Level 4)


This qualification includes and builds on the requirements for award of the National Certificate in Horticulture (Arboriculture) (Level 3)

This is a certificate for people engaged in a career in the arboricultural sector of the horticulture industry. People who have completed this qualification are able to demonstrate competence in the knowledge and skills relevant to arboriculture at tradesperson level, under the supervision of a qualified arborist.

This course has prescribed content and contains NZQA Unit Standards in the following:
- Chainsaw use
- Arboricultural tree climbing
- Tree care and pruning
- Felling and tree dismantling
- Working in mature trees
- Electrical awareness

Thoughtplanters deliver this course to those in the workplace in conjunction with Telford, a division of Lincoln University
